Youth Venture

The Best Buy Children's Foundation has teamed up with Youth Venture to bring you the Best Buy @15™ Challenge. @15™ is a new social change program to ensure opportunities for teens across four dimensions: education, life skills, leadership and relationships. Youth Venture and Best Buy are working together to empower teens and give them the opportunity to lead change in the world.

15 teams from across the country will win $10,000 each to expand their Ventures and improve their communities! In addition, the Best Buy @15™ Challenge will provide $1,000 of seed funding for up to 300 new youth-led Venture Teams.

The Best Buy @15™ Challenge will award 15, $10,000 grants to the Venture Teams that display the greatest creativity and community impact in their Venture and the clearest vision of how to create sustainable change. The 15 winners will be determined by an online vote by the public. Winners will join Best Buy for the competition announcement and a celebration.

Applicants for the Best Buy @15™ Challenge must be age 12-18 and residents of the United States or Puerto Rico. Keep in mind that any team that has launched a Venture through Youth Venture is eligible. Whether you started five years ago or five days ago, we want to hear your plans to expand your impact!

Applicants may be previous Youth Venture grant recipients or new Venturers. All applicants must be approved Venture Teams by September 1, 2008. Only one application may be submitted per person.
