Here,that photo was taken in one region in North Burundi under destructive famine and conflicts.
The children were welcoming a group of volunteers for peace and development. Hungry they are,they welcome them with big joy in their faces,we could imagine what is drawn in their hearts?what they hope and wish ? how they feel with present ?what is important for them? Why are they together with one more harmed in front? Why we could find another young man among them? Of course ;I find that a great event to them, hope for them,and a beginning for another time for them,,,
Rebels were still in action there,using children also but them they forgot all to come to welcome peace volunteers in a peace rhytmic way, they know how peace is important for resolving their problem of famine.
Also even hungry or full in hardness situation,you are a part of World population and have something to contribute ,that was understood by them ! To engage your cry out for the future !!!
I imagine if others could take that example ,to fight against ignorance ,inability and absence with such courage...
